Tessa von Huben, Director/Physiotherapist

Tess and her partner Tom grew up in Raglan and have remained extremely passionate about the community and the services they offer. Having completed a Masters degree, Post-graduate certificate in Acupuncture and Pilates certification, Tess utilises a broad range of assessment and treatment techniques with clients. Tess has worked in Women’s health, Respiratory, Orthopaedics, Neurological rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in both hospital and outpatient settings. She is a very "hands-on" Physio and enjoys working with clients both in the clinic and on the Pilates reformer. When not in the clinic you will find Tess in the water, teaching Pilates, adventuring with Tom and children Billie and Freddy or hitting the trails with her hairy Alsation.

Sam Lowes,

Physiotherapist

Sam has worked in hospital and outpatient settings in areas including intensive care, respiratory, orthopaedics and finally specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He has a special interest in adapting strength and conditioning principles for rehabilitation. He is also Pilates trained and utilises the reformer for 1:1 rehabilitation along with teaching mat classes. Sam runs the popular strength and conditioning Pilates series blocks on a Tuesday evening, specifically designed for males and surfers.

Maisie Byrne, 

Physiotherapist

Maisie graduated in 2015 in England where she worked as an Orthopaedics Physiotherapist and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a year before relocating to New Zealand for a work opportunity. Maisie has travelled and worked across many locations in New Zealand in the last few years finally settling in Raglan. She has gained a certificate in Dry Needling has recently completed her Reformer Pilates training and also enjoys working holistically and hands-on.

Elena Pulido Hidalgo,

Acupuncturist/Therapist

A Spanish-trained Physiotherapist, Elena is originally from a small town located in the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Gaining experience in both hospitals and private clinics, Elena realises that well being is achieved with a holistic vision and comprehensive care of the person. For this reason she has been training over the years in different disciplines such as Traditional Acupuncture, Energetic Informational Osteopathy, Yoga (including Pregnancy Yoga) and, at the moment, Clinical Nutrition. She offers a wide range of techniques such as Acupuncture, Kinesio taping, Myofascial relief, Hot stone massage, Trigger point and personalised Yoga lessons, as well as good advice. Outside of the clinic Elena loves to be by the ocean, walking the Karioi or practising and sharing her passion for Yoga.

Sophie von Huben,

Admin and Reception 

Soph is one of our bubbly administrators here at the clinic. She also happens to be sister to Tess, our clinic director. Soph came to Raglan to attend the Surf Academy as a young teenager, her family soon following with all now calling Raglan home for over 20 years. Soph is also a Personal Trainer and owner of fitness business SOFIT. She is well known for her popular group and 1:1 training and can often be found in her studio by the beach training clients before sunrise. Soph keeps a busy life with two active young boys and an equally active, surf loving partner and director of Green Wave Surf School. Many of our clients are working with Soph in conjunction with our Physiotherapy team. 

Ruby Meade,

Admin and Reception

Ruby is also one of our bubbly administrators who may greet you at the clinic reception when Jenni or Soph are away. Ruby is an outdoors enthusiast who has worked as a women’s performance surf coach in NZ and Latin America for the past 4 years. Her passion for movement has her on to go with her two dogs, or in the ocean most of the time. She is also studying and teaching both Mat and Reformer Pilates here in Raglan and online. Ruby enjoys interacting with members of the community with her role in the practice.
